The Wedding Fairy was founded in 2006, in response to requests from Brides requiring assistance on the morning of the Wedding to bring everything together. In the first year we mainly focused on offering the On-The-Day service package, taking the stress out of the morning of the Wedding leaving more time for the Bride and her friends to enjoy the day.

By the second year we acquired our own linen stock, which combined with an affiliated supplier enabled us to offer a vast range of equipment including table centres, fairylit backdrops and props. With the assistance of part time event staff we were able to introduce into Guernsey the visually stunning Weddings that were becoming popular in the USA and the UK.  Owner of the Wedding Fairy Lorraine Lane successfully completed her Advanced Diploma in Wedding Planning & Event Management, with the Wedding Planning School UK in 2010. Lorraine is currently the only qualified Wedding Planner in the Channel Islands.

With the addition of a Stationery supplier joining us, we were able to offer an all inclusive Wedding service from Engagement to Honeymoon. This led to the opening of our shop In Any Event in Mill Street, St Peter Port in 2011, providing a base not only for us to work from but to create a visually pleasing meeting area for our clients and the opportunity to browse a selection of what we can offer.

The business contiued progressed at a tremendous rate, from just 3 weddings in the first year, in 2013 we successfully helped over 100 clients make their dream Wedding a reality. 

Due to the success of our clients weddings, and word of mouth being so strong in Guernsey we noticed an upturn in enquiries from Corporate clients who were looking for a professional service. Having built up a vast array of equipment which could be utilised for any event, we were delighted to progress into this market.

By 2014 due to the sheer number of events and amount of stock we had built up we outgrew our first premises and moved to Albert House, Braye Road in May.  The new premises allowed us to not only create a stunning show room featuring products for a huge range of events but also house all our event stock under one roof so that we could offer a more hollistic service to our clients.

We also decided to offer balloons and after completing a balloon artistry course our range of avaliable products quite literally ballooned!
